I have to say that these two lights are very bright.I have NO REGRETS on the purchase of both. I paid more because I bought as seperate items, and thats fine by me. I have seen many different lights out there. Also the MTBR shootouts for the past 2yrs and I am happy I came across designshine. Much much better than Dinotte which I was using along with a flashlight style 1000lumen XL-M. I have used the DS-1300 for 1 month and just got the DS-500 taillight and on my first night I exprienced something like never before.

part 2. I was commuting home with my new DS-500 and the DS-1300 in front. Cars passing me. They were at a stop light as I was approching one driver not paying attention I guess and looking at my lights? I guess,I heard clearly the driver say OH-S--t! and Bang......They slammed into the car in front of them! Clearly these lights are attention getters!!!! Oh,let me say I know what RESPECT on the road is.RESPECT is when they move over because a>they see you and B>they get blind,so they move over! Another passed me on the left lane, went back to the right lane and quickly back to left lane,I guess front light was on them and they not like.

Yikes! Hope nobody was hurt! I'm all about helping folks achieve the most respect and visibility possible on the road. But at the same time, we do have to be careful/judicious with these things, since they're SO ridiculously powerful.

For some strange reason, hearing about this causes me to have an involuntary reflex and paste the following link:

...something about third-party liability, and other silliness.

There's nothing wrong with a little CYA, Stephen ;) !

Just remember, your link/disclaimer is necessary because you produce a superior product. And with that comes reasonable responsibility.
