Starting in earnest on the second batch tonight.

So far it looks like 26 taillights and 24 headlights, but I may end up adding a few more taillights.
Got all the LED boards adhered to the taillight housings. All power wire o-rings are also done. 13 switches adhered to taillight lids.

Learned a valuable lesson ...

Was burning too much time trying to figure out how in the world to change the BLOG settings to allow more than 10 attachments per entry, so I'm just going to continue it here.

Wow... that was fast. I got a call Wednesday afternoon that all the parts had been anodized, and I was able to pick them up this morning. To say that these guys are good would be a major understatement. Great attention to detail. Beautiful finish quality with no bleeding anywhere and no damage to any of the parts AND all at a reasonable price. They even individually re-packed every piece in it's own bag exactly the way that I handed the bare parts to them on Tuesday. So thanks again to Pam ...

A big thanks to Robert (my machinist) who persisted and overcame a lot of obstacles to get these housings done. The packing job was fantastic and the housings made it to Huntsville in fine fashion and they look great! I dropped all the metal off at the anodizing shop this morning.



Also talked with the line manager about the best options for racking the parts. They have to make a solid electrical connection to each and every piece (all ...

OK, I thought it might be fun to make a blog post where all I do is keep track of the status of the housings as they prepare to take their trek across the country from Santa Barbara, CA to Huntsville, AL.



The last update I got (last week) was that the main housings and all the taillight lids were completely cut and the extender bars were 50% done. Bead blasting was also roughly 50% done. The hope was to be finished by this past weekend ...
