Seat stay or seat post mounting options. Seat post mount requires that the extension bar be angled down like you see here.

    Under Bar Mount Option

Flexibilty of the mount allows the headlight to be mounted under the bar as in this case to clear aerobars. The yellow filter lens is good for daytime flashing, rain, fog, etc.

    Aerobar Mounting Options

Check out some of these cool aerobar mounting options. Traditionally, aerobars have made for tricky light mounting because of the limited space. All it takes is one little right angle bracket to make use of the aerobars themselves without any additional hardware. Still leaves room for a computer mount in the middle. I think I'll make a few of these brackets and have them anodized in the current build. The only thing you lose with this mount is on-the-fly left/right aiming. There is left/right adjustability, but you lock it down with a set screw once you have it where you like it.

    Model Shots

Took a few pics of my last two build #1 units (both already sold, sniff sniff) for the benefit of the CNC shop guys. Figured the forum readers might like to see them as well. To get an idea on size, the dimensions of the clear lens cover are 1" x 2". The depth of the main housing is around 1.8". Total weight of the headlight as shown here is 109g. Taillight is probably sub 100g. I expect Build #2 versions to be slightly less. Just FYI for anyone who might be planning a different mount, the bottom tapped hole is 6/32.

    Custom Taillight Mount

One of my early customers got really creative with the taillight mount. There's enough "meat" in the back plate to easily pull off something like this. Pretty slick.

    Topeak Explorer Rack Mount

Nice and simple use of the rack adapter onto a Topeak Explorer rack. Quick-release and vertical aiming are maintained by using the clamp on the short 1" diameter tube provided by the adapter. Holes on the adapter piece are 50mm and 80mm on-center, along with a single center hole.

IMPORTANT UPDATE! I was just informed by the owner of this setup, that the flange on the back of this rack did not have the strength to hold the taillight assembly. I suspect that the hole in the middle of the mounting tab just leaves too little metal in that area, and over time, vibrations caused it to shear off. Good news is the taillight survived hitting the deck at speed and still functions fine. AND most importantly, no one was hurt when it happened! So, if you have a setup like this, you'll want to reinforce the mounting tab on the rack to prevent this.
